Irish Youth Dance Festival

This festival happens annually at the Pavilion Theatre in Dun Laoghaire during the summer. Dublin Youth Dance Company, DYDC, select new work from Irish and international choreographers bringing together youth dance groups on stage and producing more than a festival but a celebration of dance, music and youth arts.

The Irish Youth Dance Festival, hosted by DYDC and its artistic director Mariam Ribón, in partnership with Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Arts Office is a platform for National youth dance groups and also offers opportunities for young professional dance artists to showcase new work. It aims to raise the profile of youth dance in Ireland encouraging young talents to develop and grow in their artistic and personal pursuits.
