Irish Youth Dance Festival

This festival happens annually at the Pavilion Theatre in Dun Laoghaire during the summer. Dublin Youth Dance Company, DYDC, select new work from Irish and international choreographers bringing together youth dance groups on stage and producing more than a festival but a celebration of dance, music and youth arts.

The Irish Youth Dance Festival, hosted by DYDC and its artistic director Mariam Ribón, that is going to celebrate its 10 years, is a platform for National Youth Dance groups and also offers opportunities for young professional dance artists to showcase new work. It aims to raise the profile of youth dance in Ireland encouraging young talents to develop and grow in their artistic and personal pursuits.

The 10th Annual Irish Youth Dance Festival will take place at the Pavilion Theatre and the Dance Theatre of Ireland’s Centre on June 26 & 27.  More details are to follow shortly.

The 9th Irish Youth Dance Festival took place on the 4th of July at The Pavilion Theatre following by The Atelier Festival at Dance Theatre of Ireland the next day with a huge success, highlighting the participation of Flash Dance, a youth dance group from The Check Republic.
