Mariam Ribón
Biography: 
Mariam Ribón, Biografhy: originally from Spain, moved to Dublin late 1995. As a professional dancer she has worked with New Balance Dance Co., Daghdha Dance Co., MaNDaNCe, Cois Céim, Opera Ireland, Irish Modern Dance Theatre and Shakram Dance Company amongst others.
In 2002 Mariam graduated with First Class Honours in her Master in Contemporary Dance Performance at UL. In 2003 she became a Pilates instructor.
Mariam has been the Artistic Director of the Dublin Youth Dance Company and the Irish Youth Dance Festival since 2003.
She has choreographed for The Dublin Dance Festival, The College of Dance, Sallynoggin VEC, Inchicore Core Dance Company, Dublin Youth Dance Company and the Irish Youth Dance Festival.
Though DYDC, Mariam is continuously exploring opportunities for youth dance in Ireland and in June 2007 she created a cultural exchange between DYDC and Debla Danza from Spain.
In January 2007 she was invited to visit the Fontys Dansacademie in the Netherlands and in October’07 to ‘The Great Big Dance Show’ at the Rep Theatre as part of Scottish Dance Theatre Creative Learning in Dundee.
DYDC was invited again to perform at the II Encuentros de Danza in Burgos, Spain in June 2008.
